CHRISTIAN SCHÜTZE
Founder and Technical Director

Christian Schütze holds a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Leoben, Austria.
He has over 15 years of managerial and technical experience with a hands-on approach and a constant career progression at leading global oil & gas companies.
Christian is highly analytical with a track record of developing cohesive strategies to address complex situations and deliver results. Commercially adept and eager to find the right solutions to meet project needs and create maximum value. He has a strong focus on HSE in both planning and operational stages of a project.
Over the course of the last couple of years Christian has developed a strong interest in the geothermal industry, and drilling geothermal wells. He is determined to transfer the experience gained in drilling operations world-wide to the benefit of local companies developing renewable energy projects through Generteq.
His comprehensive drilling and workover experience in shallow water, deep-water and land operations, is complemented with a vast experience in HPHT, MPD and ERD techniques applied on exploration and development drilling projects.
BERTRAND COZON
Directional Drilling Engineering Expert

Bertrand Cozon holds a master degree in Electrical engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs Electriciens de Grenoble in France.
In over 22 years at a leading oil and gas service provider and assignments spreading from Indonesia to the North Sea and sub-Sahara Africa, Bertrand has developed a strong technical background in directional drilling and well engineering.
He has held various technical positions ranging from rig site drilling engineer, regional technical manager, to real-time monitoring centre and digitalisation manager as well as drilling and well engineering instructor. Specialised in well engineering aspects covering feasibility studies of complex wells, drillstring design, hole cleaning optimization, wellbore stability management, complex anti-collision assessments, Bertrand is result driven with constant focus on customer objectives.
Bertrand is a team player always available to share his expertise. He has demonstrated, throughout his previous assignments, his capacity to work in challenging environment with teams of multicultural backgrounds while delivering results to his customers.
NAIM SADDIQ
Well Engineer and Drilling Optimisation Expert
Naim Saddiq is seasoned drilling professional with over 19 years of combined USA offshore/land and UK office-based diversified experience. He carries a wealth of experience from working with both service companies and international operators (mid-size to supermajor) on a variety of projects.
Naim is passionate about well cost optimization through better designs and he is always keen to utilize newer drilling technologies to achieve a step change in performance. His true expertise is in using real-time data streams for analytics and optimization of drilling operations.
Naim currently runs London based consultancy “Oxford Well Engineering” and closely collaborates with Generteq on projects.
PATRICK MICHON
Drilling Fluids and Cement Superintendent
Patrick Michon has over 30 years of experience with major service companies and operators in all aspects of drilling fluid, cement and waste management.
He has operational and engineering experience from a variety of projects covering Europe, Africa and South America covering all types of drilling fluid systems and completion fluids.
He was involved in a variety of projects on-shore, off-shore, HP/HT, deep water wells, horizontal & ERD wells
He is also competent in cementing systems with standard, lightweight and foamed cement.
SCOTT MACDONALD
Well Operations Specialist and Well Control Expert
Scott MacDonald holds a Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Montana, USA. He has over 30 years of managerial, technical, and operational experience with a variety of International oil & gas companies and service providers.
Scott is motivated to ensure engineering and operations are optimized to deliver results for all situations from development drilling to remote location exploration scenarios.
He is particularly interested in well control and blowout prevention and is an accredited IWCF and IADC instructor and simulator assessor. He is focused on using this experience with strong Health, Safety, and Environmental practices gained in drilling operations world-wide to the benefit of ongoing operations through Generteq.
He has substantial experience in drilling, completions and well intervention in offshore, and land operations, in conjunction with HPHT, H2S, MPD. Scott is well versed in all facets of directional drilling operations and engineering including Multilateral drill and complete, ERD, SAGD, Short radius, Coil Tubing, and comprehensive whip-stock re-entry techniques applied on exploration and development drilling projects.

ANDY WOOD
Subsurface Advisor

Manager of Subsurface Operations with extensive international experience, having worked in 25 countries, with extended time in the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea, East Africa and Azerbaijan.
30 years oil field experience – 11 on rigs and 19 in various roles within Subsurface and Well Engineering teams.
Familiar with all aspects of Subsurface Management. Extensive background managing multidisciplinary G&G teams. A strong focus on providing clarity of process and recommendations which lead to optimized operations and reservoir characterization, resulting in significant cost saving.
Constructing and supervising multi-disciplinary teams of Geoscientists and incorporating other services as and when required to ensure that the client receives a fit for purpose product from the geological operations well delivery team. Ensuring the team is composed of individuals with complementary skills to ensure the best possible results.
Contract management of geological related services such as LWD, Wireline, Geomechanics, Mudlogging etc. Ensuring that services provided are cost effective while delivering the product contracted.
ERIC MASQUELIER
Geophysics Acquisition Project Manager

Solid management and coordination skills for complex seismic and geotechnical projects in Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Europe
Eric’s expertise encompasses call for tender preparaion, contractor evaluation, contract negotiation, planning, operations follow-up, HSSE and government relations. Continuous industry experience in oil companies and geophysical contractors on both service provider (12 years) and client side (17 years). Deeply involved at all level of seismic acquistion such as QA/QC, client representative and project manager in more than 35 seismic acquisition surveys. Proven communication skills with local authorities and government.

General management as well as solid technical experience spanning from global oil and gas organisations, including Royal Dutch Shell and Chinese state-owned companies (SINOPEC), to entrepreneurial, independent businesses.
Thomas is a well-rounded leader with proven track record in business turnaround and change management, corporate M&A transactions and post merger integration, strategic planning and performance management.
He has vast experience of building and mobilising high calibre multi-cultural teams in organisations with very diverse needs and perspectives operating in highly volatile markets that require a high level of sensitivity and diplomacy.
